Suzanne Wunsch

Event Facilitator / Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Coach

Suzanne has a passion for adventure and self exploration. Little did she know that her greatest journey would be finding her true self through yoga and meditation. Suzanne was drawn to yoga for the gentle approach to stretching healing and toning.

The love of the great outdoors runs deep, growing up in the mountains of Southern California. As a child, Suzanne snow-skied on a giant slalom team, horseback rode gymkhana, river rafted, & water skied. As an adult, Suzanne added mountain biking, rock climbing and outrigger canoeing to her repertoire. Years of extreme sports and injuries lead her to seek a practice gentler on her body, while nourishing her soul. Feeling passionate about the yogic practice, she knew she wanted to share it with others.

Suzanne’s registered yoga training of 200 hours is through Mira Costa College, and her 200-hour Kundinansana training is through Communitea Yoga — both in Oceanside, CA. Her Paddle-Board teacher certification is through Floating Yogis in Carlsbad, CA.

Suzanne obtained her education in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction MBSR through the Omega Institute, in conjunction with the University of Massachusetts,  Rhinebeck, NY.

She looks forward to connecting with her community through yoga, meditation and the great outdoors.

BRETT HAND

Reike Master - Energy Healer
The Emerald Wizard

Brett Hand is Big Bear Lake’s Reiki Master and the driving force behind Emerald Energy Healing. Brett is known locally as the “Big Bear Green Man” or “The Emerald Wizard,” for his incredible use of Reiki to heal.

“Brett has been an avid martial artist since the early 1990s. One of the things that always resonated with him about the martial arts was the healing and energy aspects of the different Asian systems.

In mid 2014, Brett experienced Reiki and his life was changed. He felt such a profound connection with what God had planned for him through a very vivid vision, during his first Reiki session. This paved the way to more Reiki sessions with Kimberli Khepri, a specialist in Shamanism, among other things. As a result, Brett went on to seek training in Reiki. Brett became a Reiki Master later that year and has developed a love for natural and holistic healing. Brett’s wife, Lee Ann is an accomplished healer as well. Together they raise three boys in harmony with nature and loving energy.

Since coming to the mountain community of Big Bear Lake California, Brett has pursued his love of energy healing. Brett has created a Free Reiki Clinic at Bear Valley Community Hospital that he has been doing since 2016. Brett also created a children’s program called Emerald Kids Class. In this class Reiki, meditation, yoga, basic martial arts movement, and arts and crafts are part of the curriculum. This class has been adopted by various charter schools as an optional service. Emerald energy Healing has become a staple in the Big Bear Lake area.”

DANIELLE WALKER

Massage Therapist / Reiki Master, Level 2

Danielle with Dog.png

2005, I moved from Northern California and began a transition to my awakening self. A journey of restoration and transformation. In 2007, I started massage school at Healing Hands school of Holistic Health. My inspiration came from my massage therapist who intuitively felt my pregnancy before I even did. This inspired a passion in me to connect and communicate on a much deeper level, than I had before to everyone in my life. Thus began my journey into the wellness industry.

I’m a graduate of Healing Hands School of Holistic Health, one of the most reputable massage schools in the state. Healing Hands in known for its open-minded and creative approach, where students learn everything from medical massage to chakra balancing.

I’ve refined and deepened my approach, which features strong deep tissue work combined with gentle and powerful energetic balancing. I’ve studied with master teachers and utilize techniques from many modalities including swedish, sports, deep tissue, trigger point, acupressure, Myofacial Release, reflexology and Reiki (level II), to create sessions for clients that support deep relaxation and freedom in the body.

My aromatherapy classes sparked a curious passion in me to experiment with skin care on my own. After making my own deodorant and facial serums I decided to get my esthetician license and in 2014, I graduated from Palomar Institute of Cosmetology and passed my State exam for my esthetician license.
